привет!
Just wanted to invite all artists and bands to The Eastern Block GUITARS Compilation Project.
I wanted ask SovietGuitars.com as well - if the portal could join the project as a media patron?
The main goal is to gather recordings with some XX century guitars used, like for example: Tonika, Ural, Aelita, Formanta, Elta, Marina, Orfeus, Kremona, Jolana, Musima, Migma, Moni, Doina, Hora etc... We did two editions of compilations with polish DEFILs (3rd on the way) and had many suggestions to do a compilation with guitars from other former Eastern Block countries such as: Soviet Union, Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, East Germany, Romania, Albania or Yugoslavia.

Разрешите пригласить всех желающих, как сольных артистов так и группы, принять участие в проекте-компиляции "Гитары Восточного блока".
Хочу обратиться к SovietGuitars.com с предложением поучаствовать в проекте в качестве информационного спонсора.
Основная цель состоит в том, чтобы собрать записи, на которых звучат такие гитары XX-го века как, например, Тоника, Урал, Аэлита, Форманта, Эльта, Marina, Orfeus, Kremona, Jolana, Musima, Migma, Moni, Doina, Hora и т.д ... После того, как мы выпустили два сборника, посвященных польским гитарам DEFIL (а скоро ожидается выход 3-го), к нам поступило много предложений сделать компиляцию композиций, где звучат гитары из других стран бывшего Восточного блока (СССР, Чехословакии, Болгарии, Венгрии, ГДР, Румынии, Албании и Югославии)

Hello again! Thank YOU ALL for warm reception of Eastern Block Guitars project! First recordings and photos are coming. Thanks to you Facebook event reached almost 3000 invited people and we still have 7 months, so everything looks very promising.
I'm still looking for media patrons who could pass the info to their readers, listeners etc. Commercial media are not interested usually, but some guitar-bloggers, student radio stations, vintage guitars lovers groups etc. do the job! )) So if you know who may be interested - let me know. Pozdrawiam pana. Jestem bialorusinem i mam tu zespol muzyczny. Chcialbym uczestniczyс w projekcie, ale nie wiem, czy bede w stanie zakonczyc nagranie piosenki na czas. My, Different Causes, uzywamy Musima Lead Star 1 i Jolana Proxima Bass. Aby pouczestnic, mozna zapisac drugu gitare na Defil Aster. Gramy rock'n'roll na jezyku bialoruskim, polskim i angielskim, ale ten singiel bedzie na angielskim.
Mam nadzieje, pan zgodzi sie i my wezmiemy udzial)
Przepraszam, moja klawiatura nie ma polskich liter

Oldhoi, you can send me anything with vintage guitars. If some DEFIL will be used - deadline is 28 February 2018. If you will use just Musima and Jolana - send me the track too - people already want Eastern Block Guitars Compilation Volume 2, ha ha ha So I think I will gather some music and probably we will do it again

Nagrania z Defilem można przesyłać do mnie do 28 lutego 2018. Takie bez Defilów również, bo chyba będzie druga edycja projektu Eastern Block Guitars.

Альбом получился неожиданно очень интересным. В наше время, когда любой инструмент можно услышать и увидеть на youtube, довольно сложно выйти из всего этого информационного моря с чем-то особенным. Отдельные инструменты, отдельные люди - это одно. Другое - услышать все это в коллаборации, в ансамбле, в применении к разным стилям. Во взаимодействии кроется особая составляющая, которая либо подчеркивает и усиливает возможности и красоту индивидуального, либо подавляет их. Эта составляющая, наверное, и есть вкус.

Давно не слушал альбомы с таким интересом как этот. Уже давно все решили, что сов. гитары годятся разве что для коллекционирования, а тут такое… Французы Photon с советской бас гитарой играют коммерчески пригодную музыку. Андрей Попов как будто и не замечает, что это Урал, а не полуакустическая jazz гитара. Я-Ха с Oleum и их великолепный продакшн, который просится в радио ротацию. Суперструны с их “британскими” гитарами. Не знаю - не знаю, мне очень понравилось.
Я-Ха и Oleum - обе группы звучат интересно. Я-ха - открыто депрессивно и безысходно, Oleum - депрессивно и безысходно, но все это завуалированно, в цветном камуфляже, облегчающем потребление. Несмотря на великолепное качество обоих треков, складывается впечатление, что между проектами лет 10 (период взросления человека, обретения навыков свое держать при себе и умения иронизировать над собой). Если останется время, то появится третий проект, где те же составляющие будут совсем незаметны на вкус, но не менее пагубны для пищеварения.
Вообще интересно, как автор сборника разбавил main stream таким вставочками вроде “C’mon Let’s Walk A While” by Andrey Skyworker79 Popov и “Don’t forget my name” by Linas Peciura. Они как бы убирают послевкусие от прослушанного и подготавливают к восприятию следующего материала. “C’mon Let’s Walk A While” это вообще как будто сам Les Paul зашел на вечеринку в СГ клуб. Все таки как разносторонне “они” звучат. Андрей, это ведь точно Урал? Я бы сказал, что звучит очень хамбакерно широко.
Продолжает сборник британский саунд Суперструн с их “Честной игрой”, где Superstar бас пробуривает ходы в звуковой завесе Рубина, а заодно и воображении слушателя. Старо, заезженно, не спорю. Но и мы то уже не молоды.
Очень располагает к себе мягкий французский диско рок от Photon. Слушаешь и как будто отдыхаешь на мягком диване.
Смех в Снегу “Киномузыка”. Я вот теперь могу утверждать, что знаю, какая бас гитара была задействована в саундтреке к фильму “Служебный роман”. Сухой, четкий Iris Bass.
Пограничная зона 2548. Откуда такие перлы в культуре (да и в жизни, значит, значатся)? Ни во что не верю, ничего не надо, только здесь и сейчас, одним днем, в угаре. Опасная сторона русской души.
Моя любимая на сборнике - Marzenia by WOLNY. Классически свежо. В воображении возникают The Cream с их “Strange Brew”. Если кто-то знает польский, расскажите о чем эта песня?
Думал, что увижу на сборнике местных Женихов с их определенно тематическим звучанием. Ну, значит в другой раз…

I had a lot of fun making this compilation. Loving vintage guitars is great way to meet a lot of interesting people. And their passion is that magic component that connects everything together.
WOLNY is very tallented young man and active participant of my guitar projects (The Feel of DEFIL as well). I'll try to translate his song below:

Very nice clear lyrics. It complements perfectly the dreamy tone of vintage guitars and drums. I like this line "and find some hole to let me in to achieve something at last". Very life-asserting and brings a positive energy. That's what we all need badly.

Yeah, it could be some video playlist for example, but I think it is problematic to find video version of every track. I just wanted to do that YouTube teaser to encourage some people to listen to the whole album.

That's kind of true. I noticed that many people don't apprehend music without video sequence nowadays. Just music for modern generation is like food without spices.

And what is really sad - I often see young people listening to RANDOM single tracks on their "smart"-phones (sometimes smarter than the user). I was raised on concept albums, so all of that "fast food" life is breaking my heart. But we are dinosaurs and everything must pass

Nagrania z Defilem można przesyłać do mnie do 28 lutego 2018. Takie bez Defilów również, bo chyba będzie druga edycja projektu Eastern Block Guitars.

Альбом получился неожиданно очень интересным. В наше время, когда любой инструмент можно услышать и увидеть на youtube, довольно сложно выйти из всего этого информационного моря с чем-то особенным. Отдельные инструменты, отдельные люди - это одно. Другое - услышать все это в коллаборации, в ансамбле, в применении к разным стилям. Во взаимодействии кроется особая составляющая, которая либо подчеркивает и усиливает возможности и красоту индивидуального, либо подавляет их. Эта составляющая, наверное, и есть вкус.

Давно не слушал альбомы с таким интересом как этот. Уже давно все решили, что сов. гитары годятся разве что для коллекционирования, а тут такое… Французы Photon с советской бас гитарой играют коммерчески пригодную музыку. Андрей Попов как будто и не замечает, что это Урал, а не полуакустическая jazz гитара. Я-Ха с Oleum и их великолепный продакшн, который просится в радио ротацию. Суперструны с их “британскими” гитарами. Не знаю - не знаю, мне очень понравилось.
Я-Ха и Oleum - обе группы звучат интересно. Я-ха - открыто депрессивно и безысходно, Oleum - депрессивно и безысходно, но все это завуалированно, в цветном камуфляже, облегчающем потребление. Несмотря на великолепное качество обоих треков, складывается впечатление, что между проектами лет 10 (период взросления человека, обретения навыков свое держать при себе и умения иронизировать над собой). Если останется время, то появится третий проект, где те же составляющие будут совсем незаметны на вкус, но не менее пагубны для пищеварения.
Вообще интересно, как автор сборника разбавил main stream таким вставочками вроде “C’mon Let’s Walk A While” by Andrey Skyworker79 Popov и “Don’t forget my name” by Linas Peciura. Они как бы убирают послевкусие от прослушанного и подготавливают к восприятию следующего материала. “C’mon Let’s Walk A While” это вообще как будто сам Les Paul зашел на вечеринку в СГ клуб. Все таки как разносторонне “они” звучат. Андрей, это ведь точно Урал? Я бы сказал, что звучит очень хамбакерно широко.
Продолжает сборник британский саунд Суперструн с их “Честной игрой”, где Superstar бас пробуривает ходы в звуковой завесе Рубина, а заодно и воображении слушателя. Старо, заезженно, не спорю. Но и мы то уже не молоды.
Очень располагает к себе мягкий французский диско рок от Photon. Слушаешь и как будто отдыхаешь на мягком диване.
Смех в Снегу “Киномузыка”. Я вот теперь могу утверждать, что знаю, какая бас гитара была задействована в саундтреке к фильму “Служебный роман”. Сухой, четкий Iris Bass.
Пограничная зона 2548. Откуда такие перлы в культуре (да и в жизни, значит, значатся)? Ни во что не верю, ничего не надо, только здесь и сейчас, одним днем, в угаре. Опасная сторона русской души.
Моя любимая на сборнике - Marzenia by WOLNY. Классически свежо. В воображении возникают The Cream с их “Strange Brew”. Если кто-то знает польский, расскажите о чем эта песня?
Думал, что увижу на сборнике местных Женихов с их определенно тематическим звучанием. Ну, значит в другой раз…

I had a lot of fun making this compilation. Loving vintage guitars is great way to meet a lot of interesting people. And their passion is that magic component that connects everything together.
WOLNY is very tallented young man and active participant of my guitar projects (The Feel of DEFIL as well). I'll try to translate his song below:

Very nice clear lyrics. It complements perfectly the dreamy tone of vintage guitars and drums. I like this line "and find some hole to let me in to achieve something at last". Very life-asserting and brings a positive energy. That's what we all need badly.

Yeah, it could be some video playlist for example, but I think it is problematic to find video version of every track. I just wanted to do that YouTube teaser to encourage some people to listen to the whole album.

That's kind of true. I noticed that many people don't apprehend music without video sequence nowadays. Just music for modern generation is like food without spices.

And what is really sad - I often see young people listening to RANDOM single tracks on their "smart"-phones (sometimes smarter than the user). I was raised on concept albums, so all of that "fast food" life is breaking my heart. But we are dinosaurs and everything must pass
